Our organization has had the privilege of serving northern Nevada and northeastern California since Care Flight first began in 1981. We are committed to the principles of a high value EMS system including strong clinical outcomes, accountability to performance requirements, data reporting, revenue maximization and flexible staffing and deployment to meet the needs of the communities we serve safely, efficiently and with clinical excellence. As a nonprofit, community-based healthcare organization, REMSA Health reinvests all philanthropic gifts and operating revenue into wages and benefits, equipment, programs and services that support public health, wellness and education.
Since 1986, REMSA Health has provided ground ambulance services under a performance-based franchise agreement with the Northern Nevada Public Health’s District Board of Health and through oversight from the Emergency Medical Services Oversight Program. REMSA is the sole provider of emergency and inter-facility ground ambulance transport services within Washoe County (excluding Incline Village and Gerlach).
