Introducing Riley the Raccoon

You may have seen that Riley the REMSA Health Raccoon made their debut in Washoe County this week. A furry, friendly mascot, Riley is made possible through a community trust funding partnership between our organization and the Washoe County Health District.

You’ll find Riley sharing all sorts of public health messages on the news, on social media and even at special events around the community. Riley will encourage the public – particularly young Washoe County citizens – to understand things like the importance of learning CPR, signing up for PulsePoint, getting vaccinated, staying safe in hot and cold weather, water safety, helmet safety, pedestrian safety, proper car seat installation and knowing when and when not to call 911.

We are proud that the Washoe County Health District considers REMSA Health to be a trusted public health champion and invested in this program to work toward improved public health outcomes. When you see Riley on social media or in the news media, please help us spread their health and safety messaging by liking and sharing the content. And, if you see Riley out and about across Washoe County, snap a picture, post it and tag us!
