In 2024, REMSA Health found that 1 percent of all patients transported by ambulance accounted for 13.3 percent of all ambulance transports.
Over the last 50 years, EMS has come a long way. REMSA Health will always be here to respond to medical emergencies. In our community, and across the country, there is a growing population of patients who call 9-1-1 not because they are having an emergency, but because they don’t know who else to call. Many of these patients can benefit from alternatives to traditional ambulance response and Emergency Department transport. Integrated Health is dedicated to developing sustainable and evidence-based strategies to manage low-acuity 9-1-1 calls for service to improve care delivery and achieve the Healthcare Quadruple Aim.
REMSA Health’s solution to EMS high utilizer patients.
