While I did not know the crew or the patient onboard the aircraft, I just want to send my condolences. I work at one of the FBO locations at Salt Lake City International Airport and I see Medical Aircraft all the time. I know how hard they work to make sure patients have the best care possible. They are always flying and always in the air helping the patients get where they need to go. Day and Night, middle of the night, they do not stop. Yes, this is a tragic event. My heart aches for all those involved. May those lost find peace and rest. May those involved at CareFlight and Guardian Flight, be able to go forward from this, learn from the incident, and go about doing what you do to keep crew and patients safe and secure to their destinations going forward. May you also have a good support system within your respective companies and within those around you.
Sending all of our love and prayers to the families. We will remember. #Always
I was injured in a ski accident up at Heavenly in a whiteout in January, 1985. Care Flight risked their lives to brave the storm in order to save my life and transport me to Washoe Medical Center. I will forever be in their debt.

We want you all to know that we deeply care about you and plan on laying flowers at the crash site on our property (in the near future, as we live out of state.) We will continue to pray for you all.

SO SORRY, What an unexpected tragedy we are all faced with , to not only the Pilot, Crew, and the Patients, but the families that were left behind to suffer the losses of their loved ones. May god bring you all healing & strength to grieve and remember. I flew with Scott for several years and you will be missed. God Bless you and all whom were a part of this tragic accident. You will always be remembered and never forgotten. The Pilots Prayer, Dear Lord, please look down on me, if you should get a chance. While Your "eye is on the sparrow" I'd appreciate a glance. In Your tower up in Heaven, as You watch the eagles soar. You know the joy I've felt, as Your wonders I explore. From the early morning sunrise, to the starry moonlit nights, my simple perch near Heaven, has revealed Your glorious sights. But when my flight is over and no longer there's a wait, I pray for a smooth landing, at Heavens Pearly Gate. For beyond the blue horizon, there's a "hanger in the sky", your home for weary pilots, whose spirits never die.
To our Care Flight family - May you find strength, peace, and solace in better memories of good days spent with those lost to help you thru the days ahead. Thinking of and praying for you all. - David

Ryan Watson was literally one of the best people I had the pleasure of meeting. He was always happy, positive, extremely supportive, full of life and optimism. His personality was contagious. He would fill the room with his laughter, his silly jokes and his joy. I have known Ryan since 2011. Throughout our years in high school, college and being coworkers, we shared so many beautiful memories and a great friendship. Ryan always talked about how much he wanted to help people. He was so excited when he started doing that. With Ryan being a paramedic, the community was in good hands. He built such an amazing community around him, full of love and compassion. His loss will leave a huge void, but his legacy will live forever. Ryan was one of the best and compassionate human beings and he will always be remembered that way. May you rest in peace, my friend. You will truly be missed.
It is with a very heavy heart that I offer my sincere condolences to the REMSA family of co-workers left to carry on without three of their wonderful CareFlight crew members. God please hold and comfort them as well as the grieving family and friends of those killed in the line of performing their duty. Please also comfort those grieving the family members they were transporting. May everyone who shares this grief also be comforted by beautiful memories of those whom they loved!
Sincere condolences to the Care Flight family and the families of the patient and his wife. I know from past experience that Care Flight people are all dedicated professionals who love their work of helping others and make a significant difference in our lives. To the families and friends, I shed many tears with you and pray that God will give you needed strength, support and comfort for the time ahead.
It takes dedication to be a healthcare worker, and so much bravery to be on an air flight team. My deepest condolences to the families of these dedicated healthcare workers, the brave pilot, and the family of this couple who boarded anticipating help. My prayers as well, for the devastated team members left behind.
Our heartfelt condolences to these heroes. Sympathies to the family

I write the Wings-n-Things column for the Mineral County Independent-News and this is the column I wrote to honor all who serve those in need and in remembrance of Care Flight N273SM. It will be published in the paper March 2, 2023. Until they are needed, not too much thought is usually given to all the people who serve as first responders to accidents or medical emergencies. Normally they are the people who operate on the ground like fire departments, police departments, and medical personnel. In the case of accidents the medical helicopters may be called in for the patients, or ground ambulances. When patients need to be transported to more advanced medical facilities, air ambulance aircraft are called to fly them there. And many can testify how critical those flights have been. In the 15 plus years I have served at the airport as greeter, I have had many contacts with different air ambulance companies and several models of aircraft they have flown. To try to mention them all would be to leave someone out, but one thing that has been a constant, is the absolute dedication to their mission to serve those in need and everyone of them is proud of what they do. This is true of the ground ambulance crews that meet the planes and of the pilot and medical crew on the aircraft. It is a service that has saved many lives and shortened their misery from illness and pain. And it takes a very special person to take on and believe in those missions. Thank you all. Care Flight Pilatus PC-12 N273SM had been to HTH many times. We share the heartbreak and send our thoughts and prayers to the families and friends of pilot Scott Walton, flight nurse Ed Pricola, paramedic Ryan Watson, and patient Mark Rand and his wife Terri Rand who perished in a crash on February 24, 2023. It is a tragic time for all air ambulance companies and the world of medevac services flown by both civilian and military crews who dedicate their lives to serve others. Betty Easley
Here were a trio of three dedicated individuals performing their expertise in assisting a patient and relative with health issues. May Our Heavenly Lord hold them close, and grant them peace and eternal love. These Angels will be forever in our hearts.
My heart broke a little more when I learned of the loss of the flight crew and passengers. In December 2022, my ex-husband was flown to Salt Lake City, Utah, so it hit closer to home for me. I always pray for the flight crew, medics, and patients when I see a flight. I am praying for the families of those who were lost and for those who knew and loved these people. May God bless each and every one. My sincerest sympathies.
Praying for all the friends and family members of those we lost in this horrific accident. Having lost a loved one years ago in an airplane accident I can relate to the emptiness you feel. We must remember and take special care of the children and grand-children who have been left behind.
Heartfelt sympathy for all those closest to those who have passed. In this great time of need know every person who knows of this tragedy immediately say prayers for your spiritual comfort. Time will eventually heal the scars upon your hearts and allow the beautiful memories of these lives lived so well in the service of others. The greatest of human endeavors.

I was working at the fire station on a Thanksgiving day in the mid 90's, when we received word that a Care Flight helicopter had crashed killing all on board. It was a heart-wrenching day for us. The flight crews are like angels bravely descending down from heaven to save lives. God bless them all and may God comfort their families, colleagues and friends.
Thank you for everything you all do. 2017, a Care Flight was taken from Elko up to Reno to save my mom. Although past the point of saving, you worked your hardest. The proper care was administered to the best of their abilities. I can’t imagine the amount of lives that have been changed and saved due to Care Flight. Without your service, thousands of lives would be changed. This loss is felt throughout Reno and further, may the souls of those lost rest in peace.
To the family's of the victims what brave hearts my deepest condolence may the blessings of the Lord doing this difficult time watch over you all
I'm so incredibly sorry to all of you for your losses. To the young wives and young children. To the parents, grandparents and all the family and friends of those lost in this terrible tragedy. To my CF fam, my time spent with you will remain one of my greatest memories, I am hurting with all of you and are keeping you all in my prayers. Ryan, man. From day 1 of EMT school, to finishing medic school together, you were the man. Won’t ever forget all of our memories. The last time I saw you, we talked about getting a drink soon so that I could see your kiddo, and talk to Kailey after so many years of not seeing her. You loved your family more than anything in the world, and you were one of the best medics I ever had the pleasure of knowing. I miss you.
I cannot even begin to know the heartache and loss of all of your sudden loss of your precious loved one. I can only be here for you in whatever way that you need, and as a Unit Clerk at Renown Regional, we are all family. Do not ever forget that. Take it one breath at a time. All of my love.
God bless this crew of life savers who braved the horrific weather to save a young life. My family sends our deepest condolences to all those lost on this flight, including the family member of the original medical victim. Bless their families and friends and co-workers.

I am so thankful for the work REMSA Health does on a daily basis to provide care at critical times for people in Northern Nevada. That work is inherently dangerous and the loss of these heroes is incredibly sad. I hope you all see the support from your community here and know that we appreciate all that you do.
We send our heartfelt condolences to the victims families after this tragedy! Words cannot express the sorrow that is felt to each of the families, the coworkers and all the first responders. God blesses those who mourn for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4
My sympathy to you and your team in this very difficult time. I was devastated when I heard the news on Saturday morning. Please know that you are all in my prayers. Thank you for the work you do every day. This just reminds us how fragile life is, and how important and yet risky your jobs are. First responders roles are often more difficult than the rest of us could possibly know. Bless you all for the hard work and dedication to helping our community when we are in need.
My sincere and heart-felt condolences to family and work/career family. Bonds made in this work are so strong and no words from me can express the overwhelming grief that must felt by so many. I pray for comfort and peace for all those who will have to continue on.
I am so sorry for the loss of those great professionals who fly Care Flight and those who were being taken to the Hospital for emergency services. I am so sorry for your loss. I was in an accident many years ago and it was Care Flight and the great professionals who cared for me and helped me arrive safely at the hospital to receive the emergency services I needed. Once again mine and my families heart goes out to all of the families who lost loved ones on this flight and know that we in Nevada love and care about those who fly on Life flight taking sick or injured people to the hospitals they need to go to. Please know that we are deeply saddened by your loss. Thank You, Alan Christensen
Ryan brought the critical care ambulance to our preschool last week and taught the students about all the workings of the rig, the gurney, and how to take their pulse. He was so genuinely kind and caring towards the children and it was no surprise he would be that way with his patient as well. Risking all to potentially help another is a higher calling that is so admirable and praiseworthy. We are grateful we got to meet him and will forever treasure the memories of his visit to our school. Our sympathies and prayers go out to his family and the staff. We are heartbroken with you over this tragic accident. May another brave soul step up to take over his commitment to our city: Ryan, you will be missed by us all- rest in peace sweet friend.
Prayers for all the family’s of our flying angels that have given all to help the ones who need help.
Dear REMSA family: Almost 2 years ago, my 29 year old son was transported via fixed wing from Reno to Salt Lake City for life saving treatment due to covid. He is with us today and is soon to be married! I remember April 9, 2021 every day. As we drove toward Utah in the middle of the night, your staff on the plane kept him alive and brought him to Salt Lake City, where he was transferred to the University of Utah Hospital so that he could receive ECMO, an advanced life support. Because of that, he is with us today. I am heart broken over the loss of life and family sorrow that has occurred with this crash. Please know, 100% know, that the work you do is lifesaving and makes SUCH a difference to us here in Northern Nevada. Thank you for the bottom of my heart and soul, every day, for your work. I wish there was more to say, from a mom’s heart…to all of yours.. thank you and I’m so, so sorry.
My wife and myself are shocked and so sad to hear about this tragic accident. We are praying this never happens again.
Sending our heartfelt condolences to you and your families at Care Flight and REMSAHEALTH. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to support you during this difficult time. We would like to be kept informed of any services so we can stand in solidarity and support if available.
Nova Scotia EHS has always had a connection to REMSA as much of what we do has been modeled on the success and professionalism of your service. We are heartbroken learning about the Air Ambulance incident involving your team. Please know we are thinking of you all as you lead and navigate your organization during this very challenging time.
I want to express my sincere condolences for the loss of your crew, patient and all involved families as to your work family as well. Heartbreaking and all will be in my prayers. Words are not adequate.
I just want to extend my sympathy to the families of your pilot and medical staff who were tragically killed last night in Stagecoach, NV. We have been forever grateful for the wonderful care you gave my husband a few years ago on a flight from Yerington to Reno, and 2 weeks later from Reno to San Jose, CA and ambulance to Stanford. I send prayers to all of the Care Flight “family” as you grieve.
