REMSA Health Appoints Junius A. Frederick to Care Flight Director of Business Development and Growth

Care Flight, a service of REMSA Health, has appointed Junius A. Frederick to the role of director of business development and growth. Frederick’s professional career includes more than two decades of leadership experience in aviation and aerospace business development and emergency medical services (EMS).

In this role, Frederick will focus on Care Flight’s strategic operations, customer service and growth and partnership opportunities—all of which are essential components to delivering high-quality critical care transport across northern Nevada and northeastern California.

“Junius brings an ideal combination of operational experience, marketing and customer relations successes and an energetic approach to air medical transport,” said Adam Heinz, chief operating officer, REMSA Health. “I am proud to welcome him to the Care Flight team, whose legacy is four and a half decades long, and is built on clinical excellence and responsiveness. Junius’s expertise and vision will be key in shaping the future of our program and reinforcing our commitment to delivering exceptional care to the communities we serve.”

Frederick comes to the organization from his role as vice president of growth at Best Practice Medicine, where he expanded partnerships at the state and federal levels and strengthened client relationships through contract management and business development. He also held manager and director-level sales and marketing positions with United Rotorcraft, MedTrans and Air Methods. Frederick holds a Master of Science in Strategic Brand Communication and a dual Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Sales and Management Information Systems. He is a Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP), a Certified Medical Transport Executive (CMTE), and a member of the International College of Advanced Practice Paramedics (ICAPP).

Each year, Care Flight’s helicopter, fixed-wing and critical care ground transport services respond to approximately 3,000 requests and transport more than 2,100 patients. Care Flight has been accredited for 21 consecutive years by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS), the national organization that evaluates air medical services. Its transport platforms are staffed by highly trained critical care nurses and paramedics committed to safely providing clinically excellent, compassionate care.
