Logistics Coordinator
This position is a full time benefited position.
Shift: Wednesday – Saturday 6AM-6PM
Position Accountabilities
REMSA was established to oversee Care Flight and REMSA operations and to coordinate emergency medical service activities through a central emergency medical communications center. REMSA answers to its Board of Directors with responsibility to the Washoe County District Health Department.
Within this general framework, this position is accountable for the following functions:
• Counting, cleaning and maintaining Care Flight and REMSA ground inventory.
• Facilitate the shipping/delivery of products from one destination to another.
• Arrange transportation, and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with little to no delay.
• Shipping, receiving, and supply orders, as well as handling of packing slips.
• Coordinate with REMSA logistics and purchasing departments to maintain, purchase and order Care Flight inventory and equipment as needed
• Maintain and update Operative IQ inventory control and ordering system as needed.
• Oversee and manage PM’s, repairs and inspections of all Care Flight’s and REMSA’s medical equipment.
• Maintain equipment repair and PM records.
• Retrieve, clean, log and redistribute Care Flight user agency equipment back to user agencies.
Ensure required distribution and pick up of miscellaneous items to and from area hospitals, user agencies and other offsite locations.
• Ensure hospital supply rooms are properly stocked and maintained.
• Delivery and pick up of Care Flight Tango boxes from Care Flight bases and ground posts and deliver to administrative offices.
• Facilitate movement of flight crew members and equipment between aircraft, bases, hospitals and other locations as needed.
• Streamlines shipping and transportation processes.
• Perform EMS state inspections for all emergency response vehicles.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace, including company vehicle.
• Prepare accurate reports for upper management.
• Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.
• Performing department audits as needed.
• Capable of resolving issues over email, text or call off duty if needed.
• Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Experience Requirements
• High school Diploma or equivalent required.
• A valid driver’s license required.
• 1-year logistics/warehouse/inventory control experience required.
• A forklift Certification is required.
• A clean driving record required.
• Safe and responsible driving skills in all weather conditions required.
• Be able to follow complex directions.
• A motivated, self-starter who works with little oversight.
• Be able to set priorities and be adaptable to change.
• Have strong communication skills and function in a team-based environment.
• Must be able to operate simple computer programs.
• A background with technical and troubleshooting experiences a plus.
• Must have good customer service skills.
• Logistics experience with REMSA preferred but not required.
• A minimum of two years stable employment history strongly preferred.
