Immunize Nevada invites you to join them for the 2019 Give Kids a Boost Health Fair, set for Saturday, August 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This is the Saturday before the first day of school in Washoe County and serves as the last chance for students to receive school-required immunizations and other health and safety resources. This is an opportunity for students and their families to prepare for the new school year.

School-required immunizations will be administered onsite for students in Washoe County. The Washoe County Health District and Walmart will be providing immunizations. Concerned about the cost of vaccines? The Nevada Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program provides vaccines to children whose parents or guardians cannot afford them. The Health District will have VFC vaccines available for those who qualify.

In addition to immunizations, community organizations who offer health and safety-related services will provide free resources and educational pieces to share with attendees. REMSA will have a booth where we will be handing out booster seats. Booster seats will be first come, first served. Your child must be present in order to get a seat to ensure the booster seat accommodates their height and weight.
