Remembering A.C. Bowolick, Education Manager

We are profoundly saddened to share that a member of the REMSA Health team, A.C. Bowolick, Education Manager, passed away on Saturday, December 11. On behalf of the organization, we are sending our condolences to A.C.’s family, colleagues, and friends. We extend our deepest sympathy to Kelli Bowolick, A.C.’s wife, who also joined the REMSA Health team in September as part of the Business Office.

A.C. was hospitalized in late November. Despite significant efforts by A.C.’s medical team, his illness advanced and the interventions were no longer effective.

While A.C. was relatively new to the REMSA Health team, he approached his work in the Education department with enthusiasm. He understood the important role that education plays in preparing healthcare providers to care for the community and he was committed to growing the program. Prior to joining REMSA Health, A.C. worked as a paramedic and special programs coordinator for Campbell County Health in Gillette, WY. He was very proud of his service as a paramedic and firefighter lieutenant, as well as of his work in law enforcement.

Over the past few months, and throughout the pandemic, there have been times that the likelihood of loss has felt overwhelming. We encourage you to be mindful of your emotional and mental health. There are several free and confidential resources available including NAMI of Northern Nevada, Quest Counseling and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, 1-800-273-8255.
